There is a saying “Deserve before you desire”. Vineet Kumar Singh proves it in real life. He waited for 3 years to get the lead actor role for his own script and when Anurag Kashyap asked him to become a boxer before being actor, he took it damn seriously. Two years of training is visible not only in his punches but techniques and power as well.
What is Good?
While boxing is the key factor in the move, there are other aspects such as politics in sports, caste, place discrimination, a heartfelt love store and ruthless revenge saga as well. All put together makes it a pretty decent flick.
Beauty of the movie lies in it’s authenticity of characters and At the heart of the film is Vineet Kumar Singh who conveys both Shravan’s physical power and his emotions with confidence and conviction. His natural acting makes the way for his Bollywood entry in the league of class actors.
Jimmy Shergill as clinched corrupt politician is equally good and retain his swag in negative role throughout the movie.
What is not so Good?
Mukkebaazi is missing from the movie named as Mukkabaaz. Some solid fight sequence could have been added. But nevertheless, you don’t even feel the need amidst drama, emotions and terrific performances.
Rating Dil Se: Good to Watch
