इस देश की गरीबी का कारण गरीब नहीं है, उनसे लूटने वाले तुम जैसे बेईमान अमीर है
Star Cast: Ajay Devgn, Ileana D’Cruz, Saurabh Shukla, Saanand Verma and Gayathri Iyer
Director: Raj Kumar Gupta
This is based on a true incident of India’s most high-profile income tax raid conducted in the 80s. Films based on true stories are quite a draw at the box office. Specially when the film is about an Income Tax raid, things are bound to get interesting.
What is Good?
As the trailer was not gripping enough, went with zero expectations but the film is realistic one and didn’t turn out as bad as I expected.
Ajay Devgn as honest, strict and law abiding income tax officer reminds you of his character in Gangajal. His deadpanned performance is well received. However it’s Saurabh Shukla who takes the center stage as infamous MP Raided by IT dept. His rowdy look and accent truly justifies his character.
Ileana is the epitome as dutiful wife and her appearance in Saree can make you believe that she is meant for this character.
Movie is just about one RAID in a realistic manner so don’t expect some action and drama. Two beautiful songs are bonus.
What is not Good?
Unexpected romance sequence and song in the mid of the RAID. I wonder, why Bollywood is so passionate about songs.
